Hi there, I'm Willow! I am Willow Tucker, and I am a licensed mental health therapist in the state of Washington. I am a person-centered therapist who approaches therapy in a collaborative way. Most of my practice has historically been trauma (sexual, childhood, military, etc.), depression, anxiety, and women's issues. However, I have experience with other types of concerns as well. My approach I am a person-centered and collaborative therapist. This means that I use a variety of different therapeutic approaches depending on what would be most helpful for the situation. I provide EMDR therapy, CBT, DBT, or another approach as appropriate to meet each client's individual needs. My focus I work with clients ages 13 and up. I like working with all genders to treat conditions such as bipolar, depression, anxiety, trauma, as well as many others. My communication style I work collaboratively with clients. This means that therapy with me feels equal. I respect what each client thinks will be most helpful and work with the client to find an approach that is both comfortable and effective. My journey to mental healthcare I became interested in becoming a therapist when I was a foster parent for criminally delinquent teens. I wanted to work with an underserved population that had little control over their lives at that point. During my education and experiences during school, I became equally interested in working with adults also. I am driven to continue this work because I have seen therapy change people's lives. I want to continue to be a part of changes that have a profound effect on the lives of the clients that I work with. My goals for you I approach goal setting in a formal way. I will ask what each client's goals are. I then work with the client to develop a plan for how to reach those goals. My first session with you During the first session, I will have conversations with the client to learn about their history and any concerns they have.
